· Review of slag formation

· Review of oxidation reactions in the EAF

· Review of oxy-fuel burner operations in the EAF

· Review of EAF overall thermal balance

· Review of factors affecting EAF energy requirements

· Understanding the carbon/oxygen/iron balance in EAF operations

Trouble-Shooting EAF Operations

This course takes the operator through the steps involved in Trouble-shooting a problem including:

· Identification of the problem

· Breaking large problems down into smaller problems

· Identifying short and long term solutions

· Implementation of solutions
